Heather Jacobson (she/her)
Heather Jacobson was born and raised in Houston, Texas and relocated to Colorado in 2023 for the cooler climate and mountain life, accompanied by her rescue dog, Larry.
She holds a B.A. in Applied Sociology and Social Work from Texas State University (May 2023). Passionate about community-based social services, developed through work with diverse socioeconomic communities, Heather researched how sociological theory's history impacts modern societal change. Her volunteer work in Texas included Housing Authorities, Food Banks, and a 6-month CASA internship for neglected and abused children, reinforcing her dedication to social services.
Heather began her career supporting neurodivergent individuals in 2023, committed to fostering an inclusive environment where neurodiverse people feel supported and accepted. She aims to grow within Inclusion on Purpose, offering self-growth opportunities to the community.
In her spare time, Heather enjoys DIY refurbishment projects, arts and crafts, and, in the summer, paddle boarding and hiking with Larry, her rescue chiweenie.
